Meet Lauren.

LiLa owner and founder Lauren Lasko was shocked when she had a hard time breastfeeding her first child. And it was after that stressful (and humbling) experience that this mother and family nurse practitioner realized she needed to learn how to provide better care for her breastfeeding patients. With that, her journey into breastfeeding medicine began, and she’s never looked back!

Lauren has spent years learning from some of the best in the field and in 2018, started LiLa to help breast/chest feeding families harness the power of their bodies and help guide them in meeting their nursing goals. Lauren aims to provide thoughtful, non-judgemental (there are many ways to give your baby breast milk!) and evidence-based information. She also works as a family nurse practitioner at an area clinic, where she runs a lactation medicine program.

Lauren has spent the last several years working to make lactation support available to families throughout the Cleveland area. She presented her work at The Academy of Breastfeeding Medicine Conference in 2018 and co-authored multiple articles about this topic, including a study on “Translating Team-Based Breastfeeding Support into Primary Care Practice” in The Journal of The American Board of Family Medicine in 2020.

She received her nursing training and graduated from Columbia University in New York City and lives in Lakewood with her husband, two crazy boys, and fur daughter “Rosie”.
